| Eighteen miles southwest of Nong Khai is a modern style Chedi built by a Lao
Vientiane rule and rebuilt in 1978 by the Faculty of Fine Arts
Department. Considered one of the holiest places in the northeast, Wat Ban
Puan is a mediocre addition to several Buddhas that appear in open
tin roofs and small museum filled with figures of wood, stone Dvaravati
inscriptions, statues and foreign police and wats model. Photos
