Charlie Place review: central Pattaya convenience and street noise

Charlie Place puts you around the Soi Buakhao and Soi Diana area of central Pattaya, where the location can be both its attraction and its drawback. There is useful guest evidence for spacious rooms and convenient access to the surrounding streets. There are also reports of traffic noise, so a central address should not be mistaken for a quiet one.

The street is part of the decision

A guest comment on Agoda describes motorcycle-taxi noise around the Soi Buakhao intersection continuing through the night. That is one person’s account, but it makes the location trade-off specific: the concern is the activity immediately outside, rather than a vague warning about Pattaya being busy.

An August 2018 Tripadvisor guest described a large room and street-facing balcony, and reported being advised to choose the sixth floor to reduce street noise. The comment is old, so it cannot establish the condition or sound insulation of a room today. It does, however, show why room position matters here. The same traveller liked the reception staff and the convenience of the location.

A straightforward room, with some conflicting listings

The property information identifies air conditioning, a refrigerator and Wi-Fi. The supplied Agoda images show an open-front reception and a room with a balcony looking towards nearby buildings. This is an urban guesthouse setting, with the street close at hand, rather than a self-contained resort landscape.

Pool information needs particular care. Some booking descriptions refer to a private pool, while the 2018 Tripadvisor guest explicitly said a pool was missing. These accounts do not establish a reliable current pool facility. This review therefore does not treat swimming as a reason to select Charlie Place.

The combination makes most sense for someone who wants to spend time in this part of central Pattaya and regards a simple room as a base. The nearby street activity is less attractive for a traveller whose first priority is sleeping away from traffic. A higher-floor recommendation from one historic stay should be read as that guest’s experience, not a guarantee that a particular floor will be silent.
