Perennial Resort review: a garden stay near Phuket Airport

Perennial Resort in Sakhu makes a strong case for an airport-area stay that still has somewhere pleasant to spend the afternoon. Its garden, café and pool appear repeatedly in guest accounts, alongside the practical attraction of being close to Phuket Airport. The important qualification is that its smaller rooms and villa accommodation have not produced the same experience for every visitor.

An airport location with space to linger

The address on Agoda is 60/13 Moo 1, Soi Naiyang 16, Sakhu. Booking.com places the resort a short drive from Phuket International Airport and identifies Nai Yang Beach and Sirinat National Park nearby. That setting makes it relevant to an arrival or departure night, rather than a stay focused on Patong or Phuket’s southern beaches.

A family who stayed in September 2026 described a garden and café that felt removed from the airport setting. They liked the food, staff, pool and children’s playhouse. An August 2026 couple also praised the café and restaurant, and did not find the airport proximity noisy during their visit. Those are distinct accounts of the grounds and atmosphere, not a promise that aircraft can never be heard.

The combination changes what an overnight stop can involve. There is a pool and a place to eat within the property, so the stay need not consist only of waiting in the bedroom. It also gives a visitor with a late arrival or an early onward journey some reason to enjoy the hotel itself, rather than evaluating it solely by airport distance.

A villa and a smaller room can feel quite different

The supplied Agoda photographs show an outdoor swimming pool with loungers, plus a landscaped entrance photographed at night. Room labels in individual Trip.com reviews include Studio Villa, Twin Villa, Family Room and Queen Room with Garden View. These names establish that guests have booked different kinds of accommodation; they do not establish that the room types have identical layouts or facilities.

That variation becomes important in the longer guest accounts. A January 2026 traveller liked a garden bungalow and its private porch. Another guest, who stayed in November 2025, was dissatisfied with an initial standard room and later preferred the villa they moved into. Their account makes room choice more significant than a simple judgement that Perennial is either uniformly basic or uniformly spacious.

The appeal of the villa setting is therefore more specific than decorative room styling. A porch and the relationship to the garden can shape how much time someone spends outside the room. A visitor comparing the photographs should keep the accommodation label in view, rather than transferring the best features of a villa to a smaller room category.

Airport transfers are a recurring strength

Agoda’s property information highlights airport access, and separate guest accounts describe pickup or drop-off. A May 2025 traveller appreciated the airport shuttle before departure; a January 2026 visitor also said a transfer was included in their booking. The repeated reports support the usefulness of that service, but do not prove that every future rate has an identical transfer arrangement.

There is also disagreement in guests’ descriptions of the walk to the beach and nearby restaurants. The accounts refer to different routes and destinations, so this review does not reduce them to one exact walking time. The useful point is the combination of the airport-area address and access to the Nai Yang surroundings, rather than an unsupported promise that every place of interest is just outside the gate.

The garden setting has some less comfortable reports

The positive comments sit alongside room-specific complaints. A June 2026 Queen Room guest reported renovation-related disruption, poor water pressure and an unpleasant bathroom odour after moving rooms. The November 2025 standard-room guest also reported cleanliness and mosquito problems before their move. These accounts do not establish the condition of all rooms today.

Perennial is most persuasive as a stop that combines airport convenience with a pool, garden and café. The guest evidence is a reason to pay attention to the actual room category, especially when choosing between a compact room and villa accommodation. The grounds are a recurring attraction; the quality of the bedroom experience has been less consistent across the stays described.
