Northwest Chiang Mai

Residence.SG: check the room equipment and the sound exposure

Residence.SG is an apartment-style option northwest of Chiang Mai’s Old City. Its older guest record is useful precisely because it is not uniform: different room categories offered different equipment, and the location affected how guests experienced sound and city access.

A practical room layout

The exterior photograph shows a multi-storey street-side building with balconies. The pictured bedroom has a bed, desk, television, storage shelves and a curtained opening beyond. It presents a functional place to spend time indoors rather than an elaborate resort room.

A separate photograph shows a bright common interior with stools and a counter. That image does not establish a cooking kitchen in every room. Equipment needs to be matched to the category, especially if a microwave or sitting area is the reason for choosing apartment-style accommodation.

The older room comparisons are useful

A solo guest, dan1el42, stayed in a Superior room in July 2016 and described a large clean space, refrigerator, kettle, desk and storage. The guest also reported disturbing aircraft noise, especially with the window open, and used transport for the Old City.

Charlottew2221’s January 2016 twin-room account describes missing a sofa and microwave that had been expected. A June 2015 family guest, by contrast, described a two-bedroom apartment with a lounge and microwave. Those accounts should not be merged into a universal equipment list.

The aircraft comments are old and do not establish today’s schedules or sound levels. They are a specific reason to ask about the proposed room’s position and window sealing, rather than a basis for publishing a current flight timetable.

Choose the category with a clear purpose

Residence.SG is worth comparing when practical room space and the northwest side of Chiang Mai suit your itinerary. Confirm the furniture, appliances and sleeping arrangement you need, and establish whether the offer is an apartment or an ordinary room.

The photographic record and dated guest accounts provide a useful outline, but they leave current room condition and noise exposure open. A booking is easier to assess when it is based on those specific details rather than the assumption that every room behaves like the larger family apartment.

Guest accounts are from 2015–2016. Room equipment and aircraft-noise observations are category- and visit-specific; current sound levels are not established.
