Gulaytu Resort Samui is a small Lipa Noi property whose older guest accounts emphasise roomy accommodation and a quieter coastal setting. Its scale and position are the key attractions, rather than a long list of resort facilities.

A villa rather than a large hotel
The exterior photograph shows a detached light-coloured building with a shaded terrace and palms behind it. Inside, a double bed occupies a simple room with pale walls and few decorative distractions. The pictures support a low-key villa atmosphere, but they cannot establish the current furnishing of every unit.
The Agoda room listing describes a 42-square-metre villa with a king bed and garden view. KAYAK separately lists a refrigerator, microwave and air conditioning. Confirm those items in the selected offer if you expect to keep food or spend time indoors.

Older guests explain the appeal
Omar, a couple traveller who stayed in December 2016, described a spacious, clean room and a relaxing balcony looking towards vegetation. He placed the beach across the road and praised the staff’s assistance. Jin, who stayed in July 2017, also praised the room’s cleanliness and the restaurant’s value.
These accounts are historical, and informal assistance described in one visit should not be treated as a transport entitlement. An individual Yandex review from April 2014 likewise described a peaceful stay with a child and spacious accommodation. Its comments about calm water describe that visit, not safe swimming conditions for all seasons.
Choose it for the west-coast setting
Gulaytu is worth a closer look if Lipa Noi suits your itinerary and you prefer a small property. Ask about current dining hours and arrival arrangements, especially if you are coordinating a ferry connection. The older reviews give a coherent picture of relaxed accommodation, but they do not justify promising free transfers, restaurant prices or a particular level of activity around the property today.
